Welcome to Snap. By downloading, installing, or using the Snap mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.

1. Service Description

Snap is a mobile application that allows users to scan cosmetic product ingredient labels and receive halal safety assessments. The app provides ingredient analysis, risk ratings, and safety scores based on our database and analysis tools.

2. Account Registration

To use certain features, you must create an account. You may register using your email address or through third-party authentication providers (Apple, Google, Facebook). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

3. Coin System and Purchases

Snap uses a coin-based system for certain features such as product scanning. Coins may be earned through app usage or purchased through in-app purchases. Purchased coins are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or the policies of Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
• Interfere with or disrupt the app's servers or networks
• Create multiple accounts to abuse the coin system
• Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the app through automated means

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The halal assessments and ingredient analyses provided by Snap are for informational purposes only. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that our assessments are complete, current, or error-free. Snap is not a substitute for professional religious or medical advice. You should consult qualified authorities for definitive halal certification.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Snap and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the app. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid for in-app purchases in the preceding 12 months.

7. Intellectual Property

The Snap app, including its design, features, content, and underlying technology, is owned by us and is protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.

8. User Content

By scanning products and using the app, you grant us a non-exclusive license to use the scanned ingredient data (not your personal photos) to improve our database and service. No personally identifiable information is shared in this process.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Use. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify you of significant changes through the app.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
